PEF welcomes new Development Director and Portfolio Manager
PEF would like to introduce you to two new members of staff. Sarah Frankland has joined as Development Director and Carol Jackson as Portfolio Manager.Sarah is responsible for the development of PEF's fundraising and marketing strategy while Carol is working with our Head of Investment and Performance, Harvey Koh, on facilitating PEF’s relationships with its portfolio charities.
Prior to PEF, Sarah was Director of Fundraising for the University of St Andrews and latterly was the Head of Principal Gifts at King's College London. However, her interest in venture philanthropy dates back ten years when she came across the concept in the US, while working as a project manager for IPOs.
Carol brings 20 years of experience of working with children and young people, particularly in the 14 to 25 age range, across the public and third sectors, locally, nationally and internationally.
Previously a Senior Associate at the Young Foundation, she managed the DCSF’s Youth of Today Youth Leadership Fund where she ran the application process for funding and read some 500 grant requests around leadership and young people. So far, the fund has supported more than 20 third sector organizations.
Prior to that, Carol was Director of Youth Work at PEF charity Community Links and also worked at the National Youth Agency and with NIACE on the Young Adults Learning Partnership.
