08.04.11: Full Potential Football

The Private Equity Community came out in force last night supporting disadvantaged young people reach their full potential.

Twenty four teams from the Private Equity community took part in the biannual football tournament at London’s Soccerdome raising over £40,000 of vital funds for the Private Equity Foundation (PEF).

PEF portfolio charity Community Links were the eventual winners as they overcame a spirited Blackstone Real Estate side 2-0 in the final. Ray Parlour (formerly Arsenal) and Jason McAteer (formerly Liverpool) who also joined in the action led the presentation of the coveted shield to Community Links.

Shaks Ghosh, Chief Executive of the Private Equity Foundation:

“Congratulations to Community Links and a big thank you to all those who took part from the Private Equity community. This event is a great example of the business and voluntary sectors joining forces and raising vital funds for the benefit of disadvantaged young people.”
