07.07.11: PEF announces support to Big Brothers Big Sisters Germany
The Private Equity Foundation (PEF) has announced it will support the expansion of German mentoring charity Big Brothers Big Sisters. This will enable the charity to expand their mentoring for children and young people across Germany. The support over three years provides not only finance, but also capacity building for the organisation. The support was allocated on the completion of an extensive legal, financial and operational due diligence process.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters Germany is an ideal partner for the Private Equity Foundation“, comments PEF CEO Shaks Ghosh. “The mentoring program enables children and young people from socially deprived backgrounds to enjoy learning and fullfil their potential. We want to support the growth of the organisation by providing both a grant and pro-bono advisory support in order to give a chance to more young people to find their way.”
Dr. Claudia Langen, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Germany.
“The grant by PEF makes it possible for us to give educational perspectives to more children and young people through mentoring and to establish our program on a sustainable basis – as a reliable partner for families, volunteering mentors and our local cooperation partners without whom the mentoring program would not be possible”
