10 System Barriers and Recommendations

The aim of this research was to consider how we can create greater focus and coordination around the NEET issue. This research involved a thorough literature review and fifty interviews with experts and practitioners from local authorities, central government, think tanks and the voluntary sector.

The Private Equity Foundation looked at the system barriers and recommended ten areas where more strategic action should be taken. These recommendations will guide the work of the Private Equity Foundation to improve performance on tackling the NEET issue at each level of the system.
